Green Initiative

We are in a business where all of our products (except those from outer space) come from the Earth, and the jewelry industry, in particular, relies heavily upon mining companies to generate source materials for their products.

The sad fact is the production of one beautiful gold ring could generate five tons of environmental waste, contaminating water and lands which endangers the health and lives of humans and animals. The negative impacts of mining have forced people and businesses alike to take a long, hard look at where their products come from, how they are made, and to what extent they are impacting the earth, its lands and its people.

Here at Art Metals Studio, we feel it is our responsibility to protect the earth and its inhabitants and rely strongly on the Harmony SCS Certified Recycled Precious Metals available from our refiner. Also, we can often bypass both the miners and refiners by recycling your jewelry and creating new pieces using your metals and gemstones!

Conflict-free Diamonds

In July 2000, the global diamond industry made clear to the international community its zero tolerance policy towards conflict diamonds. Over the last eleven years, the United Nations, more than 74 governments, leading NGOs, and the World Diamond Council have worked together to create the Kimberley Process Certification System. Today, over 99% of the world's supply of diamonds is from sources free of conflict.

Art Metals Studio is committed to selling diamonds ethically and with integrity, giving you confidence in the diamonds you purchase. We believe it is completely unacceptable to tolerate diamonds and/or human suffering in any way and we fully support the Kimberley process. We only use suppliers who can provide a guarantee that their diamonds are from sources free of conflict. Diamondfacts.org is dedicated to presenting the facts about conflict diamonds, along with how diamonds are driving economic growth and prosperity in countries around the world.
